A Letter to Myself

Dear Baby Nessa,

You have no idea how lucky you are to have the two of the greatest parents in the entire world. Your mother may not buy you dresses all the time, but that's only because you grow up too fast. Don't worry, I know you'll be buying more dresses when you grow up. I know you will.

Dear Grade-school Nessa,

Your parents trained you well. You knew how to iron your school uniform at the age of 8. You can be left alone in your house and get ready for school all by yourself at that age as well. In time, those lessons will make you more responsible and independent. You can do well on your own.

Don't be too mad of your two brothers. They may tease you too much but when they don't, you'll miss them even more. They love you, they just don't know how to admit it. They express it by teasing you more and more each day.

Just because you don't play much with Barbies, it won't hinder you for being too girly. Yes, you may play with you brother's toy cars all the time, and it may even be more enjoyable but you'll soon know how to dress up. You just haven't peaked yet.
